Medical Plan Information for Small Businesses

California law provides key protections for businesses with 2-50 employees under AB 1672.

Guaranteed Acceptance:

All insurance companies doing business in this market must accept you, regardless of the health problems of your employees.

Standard Premiums:

Insurance companies must file standard rates with the state. Your premiums may be no more than 10% above or below standard.

All pricing is age banded: 20-29, 30-39, etc. Your premiums may increase no more than 10% in a given year due to adverse medical claims.
