Medicare Part D:
Medicare Part D begins January 1, 2006 with enrollment
beginning November 15, 2005. Employers are required to notify eligible
individuals by November 15. Here are template notices you can use,
approved by Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services: (October 2005)
Domestic Partner Coverage (AB2208):The California Insurance Equity Act requires insurance
policies to provide coverage for registered domestic partners equal to
what spouses receive.

State Requires Longer Period of Continuation Coverage
(April 2004)
Paid Family Leave:
Beginning July 1, 2004, Paid Family Leave insurance coverage is
available for workers covered under California's State Disability
Insurance (SDI) or a voluntary program.
