Here’s a recent example of what the CalCPA plan can accomplish. One of our CPA clients received a shocking 70% increase for their HSA compatible plan There was no way they could afford that increase. We ruled out moving to a higher deductible plan—that would place too great a burden on staff. Shargel’s market review showed that other insurance carriers had comparable pricing. But by following our recommendation to enroll in the CalCPA program, we turned the 70% increase into a 7% savings with a manageable increase in the deductible. Our client continues to cover the same percentage of the premium and contributes $125/month into each of their employee’s HSA plans. They are also able to increase their Kaiser enrollment—the CPA plan doesn’t limit Kaiser participation. |
